In Season

A running journal on what's actually good this week — and where in the country it's peaking.

Overhead flatlay on a warm wooden farmhouse table: an open printed almanac calendar spread at the center, surrounded by produce from all four seasons — asparagus and strawberries in spring, heirloom tomatoes and peaches with figs and blackberries in summer, kale and apples with a persimmon and squash in fall, and mandarin oranges, blood orange, ginger, and rosemary in winter. A cream linen towel with a peach stripe folded at the corner.

Rolling notes on peak produce, timing, and how to think about seasonality when the calendar shifts by two thousand miles. Published every few weeks through the growing year, with a state-by-state view when it matters and a national one when it doesn't. Meant to work whether you shop a farmers market in Brooklyn, a Whole Foods in Austin, or an H-E-B in the Rio Grande Valley.

What's actually in season this week (and what's not)

Yes, our logo is a peach. And depending on where you live, this may or may not be *your* peach week. Here's what's peaking everywhere — and how to read your own calendar.
