Journals
Curated multi-part series from the Tasty but Whole home. Each journal is an ongoing thread on a single question — a technique, a season, a sourcing decision worth thinking about in the round.

In Season
A running journal on what's actually good this week — and where in the country it's peaking.
Rolling notes on peak produce, timing, and how to think about seasonality when the calendar shifts by two thousand miles. Published every few weeks through the growing year, with a state-by-state view when it matters and a national one when it doesn't. Meant to work whether you shop a farmers market in Brooklyn, a Whole Foods in Austin, or an H-E-B in the Rio Grande Valley.

From the Bookshelf
The books we keep going back to, and the ones we keep lending out.
Cookbooks with sauce on the pages, training books with cracked spines, the nutrition science we trust, and the picture books Riley asks for twice a night. Each note covers one book, or a small stack on one theme: what it's good for, who it's for, and where we disagree with it. We only write about books we've read all the way through and still own.

Found Around the House
The things that earned a permanent spot — in the kitchen, the home gym, and the bag by the door.
Tools and gear we use often enough to have opinions about: the pan that lives on the stove, the kettlebell in the corner, the pack we take on the trail. If it's in a note, we bought it with our own money, used it hard, and would buy it again. When a cheaper option does the job just as well, we'll say so.
